During the festival, Gabala Hospitality Group presented the rich culinary heritage of the picturesque Gabala region — known as one of Azerbaijan’s key gastronomic tourism destinations. The Group’s chefs, Elmar Aliyev and Rasim Najafov, showcased traditional Azerbaijani dishes such as shah pilaf, dolma, qarali pilaf, a variety of pickles, and national desserts including shekerbura, pakhlava, badambura, assorted jams, and Azerbaijani tea. The stand also featured Gabala’s premium Savalan wine and a selection of local artisanal products.
Renowned French chefs Cyril Rouquet-Provost and Christophe Geoffroy visited the Azerbaijani pavilion and praised the country’s national cuisine.
Commenting on the event, Gabala Hospitality Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Shabnam Ferman, said:
“We were very pleased to play an important role in promoting Gabala as a gastronomic destination. We extend our gratitude to the Embassy of Azerbaijan in France and the Friends of Azerbaijan Association for this opportunity. Our participation allowed us to showcase the spirit of Gabala — its rich flavors, traditions, and cultural heritage — to an international audience.”
The International Gastronomy Days in Paris have been held annually since 2016. This year’s edition featured pavilions from more than 60 countries and welcomed over 40,000 visitors.
